1. Central Pacific Jacó, Herradura, Villa Caletas Best for sunsets, easy logistics, lots of vendors.

2. Pick the Best Time of  Year

Dry Season (Dec–April): Most popular, best weather, higher prices.

Green Season (May–Nov): Lush landscapes, fewer tourists, better rates just avoid heavy-rain months Sept–Oct on the Pacific.

3. Select Your Venue Early

Tip: Venues with in-house coordinators simplify everything — especially for destination guests.

4. Hire a Local Wedding Planner

A local planner is gold for:

Vendor management

Legal requirements

Weather backup plans

Guest transportation

5. Understand Legal vs Symbolic Ceremony

You can marry in Costa Rica legally, but many couples choose a symbolic ceremony.

Legal Ceremony Requirements:

Valid passports

Birth certificates (sometimes needed)

Two witnesses

Marriage performed by a Costa Rican lawyer

Translation + apostille after the wedding

Tip: A symbolic ceremony is easier; you can legally marry at home.
