Location
Overlooking a beautiful coastline, the breath taking views bring our country to life. Villa Caletas is located in the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, on a jungle hilltop. From each side of the mountain, rain forests spread to the sandy, quiet beaches below. The dark, emerald green of this wild, native vegetation contrasts with the blue of the Pacific Ocean. Views of lush tropical rainforests complement some of the most breath taking sunsets you will ever see. At the bottom of the mountain, Villa Caletas offers its own very private beach.

Mainly renowned for the flocks of colorful, Scarlet Macaws, the region is preferred among nature lovers. The area hosts several biological reserves and wildlife refuges. For those interested in shopping and nightlife, the thriving tourist town of Jaco lies a short drive to the south.

Take the Panamerican Highway to the intersection to Atenas (take route marked # 34), You will drive through Atenas, then you will start to drive up through the mount named Monte del Aguacate. After 40 minutes you would get down to San Mateo town, when you see a intersection turn left going to Orotina, follow the signals to Jacó or Punta Leona (35 km). From Punta Leona main entrance, continue on the same highway for 3 km. You will reach the Hotel Villa Caletas sign on the right hand side. Follow the road towards the hotel (2km).

Hotel Facilities
Swimming Pool: The vast, deep-blue pool with an "infinity" edge creates the illusion of being one with the ocean. Adding to its splendour are a miniature waterfall, an island of tropical plants, and natural-rock facing. Serenity reigns at this magnificent pool area, in keeping with the atmosphere all around the hotel. We offer bar service by the pool where you can enjoy our delicious cocktails and all sorts of drinks, the schedule of this bar is 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. Ask one of our waiters for the lunch by the pool.

Beach: One mile from the hotel guests can enjoy Caletas beach, an hourly transfer will take you back and forth starting at 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 pm or even better if you have your own 4x4, you can go at any time to this wild and very private pebble beach, equipped with sun beds and refreshing drinks out of our snack bar to relax under the sun or under the cool shade. Rooms, Villas & Suites
Standard rooms equipped with two twin or one queen beds. They have garden or courtyard view and are located in the main building. They have easy access to the public areas.

Standard Deluxe, each spacious Deluxe Room contains 1 queen-size bed, they enjoy a ocean view and are located in the main building with easy access to the public areas.

Villas, our 14 villas are slightly larger, equipped with one queen bed, in some cases, one single sofa bed and space for a rolling bed, which make them ideal for small families. They have a terrace and, in some cases ocean view, others will have garden view. They are spread out through the property and may be situated a number of steps away.

Junior Suites, our Junior Suites provide more space and luxury than Villas. Equipped with one queen bed and a small living room. They have a magnificent ocean view from the terrace, as well as an independent jacuzzi or jacuzzi – bathtub for two people. They are spread out through the property and may be situated a number of steps away.

Suites, the 2 suites concept is not much about size as it’s about style and its private plunge pool bordered by lush tropical greenery. Equipped with one queen bed in the independent bedroom, and one twin bed in the living room. They are situated a few steps away and have easy access to the public areas.

Superior Suite, synonymous with elegance and style. Our suite includes a private deluxe plunge pool, terrace with an impressive panoramic ocean view. Equipped with one queen bed and a living room. Especially for honeymoons. Situated a number of steps away, it has its own private parking lot.

Master Suite, the highest category at Villa Caletas is the Master Suite, characterized by its elegance and comfortness. Equipped with one king bed and sofa bed, they possess a Jacuzzi-bathtub, a hammock and a private pool with a spectacular panoramic ocean view, bordered by exuberant tropical greenery. Ideally suited for honeymoons. They are spread out throughout the property and may be situated a number of steps away.

The legal documents required for a wedding in Costa Rica are the following:

Bride & Groom:
Complete name, place and date of the birth, age, citizenship, nationality, profession, passport number and photocopy, current address, marital status, name of parents and their nationality.
The birth certificate & the civil status must be authenticated by the Costa Rican Consulate. In case that one or both are divorced or widow, please include name of previous couple and in case of divorce, indicate place and date of the event.

Legal Witnesses:
Two witnesses are required with the following information: Complete name, Marital status, Profession, Citizenship, Passport number, Current address. Costa Rican law mandates that witnesses be acquainted (but not relative) with the bride and groom.

Note: Costa Rican Civil Registry will take approximately two months to register the civil marriage.
